On April 15, 2003, the Pleasanton City Council directed staff to proceed with a comprehensive update of the Pleasanton General Plan, which is the blueprint for conservation and development in Pleasanton. The existing General Plan was adopted in 1996. The new General Plan will guide development in Pleasanton for the next 10 to 20 years.
If you have any comments, concerns, or ideas about what should be included in the new General Plan, please e-mail or call Janice Stern, Principal Planner (925-931-5606).

Upcoming Meetings on the General Plan. Keep informed and be involved in the preparation of the new General Plan. The agenda report for the meeting below will be posted by 5 p.m. the Friday before the meeting.
- November 12, 2008 - Planning Commission meeting to take any additional comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report and to review and comment on the Draft General Plan. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 200 Old Bernal.
